Raipur, 18 November 2024: In the first meeting of Bastar Area Tribal Development Authority held in Chitrakoot under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, discussions were held on building a tourism corridor to promote tourism in Bastar on a large scale. Along with this, a strategy was prepared to develop the places identified for tourism in Bastar region. The meeting also discussed the construction of Super Specialty Hospital by NMDC in Bastar. On this occasion, Vishnu Dev Sai launched Solar Solution and Mano Bastar App and launched Solar Energy-Driven Power Bank.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai expressed happiness over the selection of Dhudmaras village located in Kanger Valley National Park for the best tourism village upgradation program by the United Nations World Tourism Organization and said that this has given a new identity to Bastar. It is noteworthy that Dhudmaras of Chhattisgarh state of India has also made its place among the 20 villages selected from 60 countries for the United Nations Tourism Village Upgradation Program.

A tourism corridor will be built to promote tourism in Bastar

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the meeting of the Authority, said that our government has specially focused its attention on the development of Bastar and Surguja. Tribal Development Authorities will play an important role in the development of these areas. He said that there will be no shortage of funds for the development of tribal areas. A lot of money is also available under CSR head. There is a double engine government in the state. Both the Center and the State have sensitive governments for the development of tribal communities.

The Chief Minister said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has set a target to end Maoist terrorism by March 2026. Better work is being done in the state in this direction. Maoist terrorism has been confined to a small area. We have resolved to strengthen the roots of democracy in the interior areas by restoring complete peace in Bastar. This will happen only when the trust of the citizens towards the government is strong. This trust will be built only through development.

The Chief Minister said that through the Niyad Nella Nar scheme, infrastructure like roads, bridges, schools, hospitals, Anganwadis, drinking water, electricity, mobile towers are reaching the interior villages. He said that 34 new security camps have been opened under the Niyad Nella Nar scheme where various facilities are also being provided to the villagers. Both the Central and State governments are making continuous efforts to establish peace in Bastar. Invaluable suggestions were received from ministers, MPs, MLAs in the meeting. Everyone should work with team spirit and show unity towards development.

Instructions to complete Keshkal Ghat improvement work soon

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai directed to complete Keshkal Ghat improvement work soon and to complete all the works approved from the authority fund within the time limit. He instructed Collector Bastar to complete the unstarted works of Devgudi, Matagudi within one and a half months. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai directed NMDC to take resolving measures to solve various problems including the problem of red water in villages Nerli, Dhurli of Dantewada and said that necessary initiatives should be taken by holding a joint meeting with the concerned Collector and public representatives.

Ministers and public representatives gave suggestions

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that on the initiative of the Chief Minister, the development of Bastar and Surguja region is being given top priority. Schemes like Niyad Nellnar and organizing Bastar Olympics reflect the development initiative of the Chief Minister. Forest Minister  Kedar Kashyap suggested promoting fisheries, dairy entrepreneurship and providing irrigation facilities to farmers, laying electricity lines along the river banks, Atal Commercial Complex, encouraging collective farming in FRA clusters.

He said that there is no dearth of sports talent in Bastar, so initiatives should be taken to establish new sports academies in Bastar.

Finance Minister  O.P. Choudhary suggested starting Hotel Management Institute, Nursing College, Organic, Natural Farming in the region and making Pota Cabin permanent. Vice President of Bastar Area Development Authority Ms. Lata Usendi stressed on the need to make an action plan for the development of education and entrepreneurship in Bastar region. She also stressed on starting Krishi Seva Kendra in every village. She also stressed on establishing Bastar on the world stage in the field of tourism. MLA  Kirandev Singh said that Central Instrumental Laboratory should be established to provide facilities to research students.

Recruitment of vacant posts by running campaigns in aspiring districts

Chief Secretary Mr. Amitabh Jain said that the police forces are getting great success in the Bastar region. A survey is being conducted in 95 villages to provide basic facilities in the affected area. He directed the district administration to complete the process by running a campaign for recruitment to vacant posts in aspiring districts. Kanker Collector told in the meeting that compensation has been given to all the farmers affected under the Raoghat project. The BSP representative told that employment has been provided to 153 youths of the affected area. Secretary Education told that not a single school has been closed in the Bastar region. He informed about making provision of buildings for schools without buildings.

Food Minister Mr. Dayal Das Baghel, Health Minister Mr. Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, Industry Minister Mr. Lakhanlal Dewangan, Women and Child Development Minister Mr. Laxmi Rajwada, Revenue Minister Mr. Tankaram Verma, Bastar MP Mr. Mahesh Kashyap and all the MLAs of Bastar division, District Panchayat Chairman, Additional Chief Secretary, Director General of Police, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Principal Secretary Tribal and Scheduled Tribe Department, Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. P. Dayanand and Mr. Rahul Bhagat, Member Secretary Authority Mr. Dr. Basavaraju S., Secretaries of various departments, Commissioner Bastar, IG, Collectors and Superintendents of Police of all the districts of the division were present in the meeting.
