Swachhta Survey 2024: Garbage And Dirt Should Not Be Seen Anywhere In The Capital, Zones Should Ensure This: Additional Commissioner

Raipur. As part of the National Swachhta Survey 2024 campaign, today, as per the orders of Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra, in the meeting room located on the third floor of the Municipal Corporation Headquarters Building Mahatma Gandhi Sadan, Additional Commissioner Shri Rajendra Prasad Gupta held an important meeting with Corporation Health Officer and NULM In-charge Officer Dr. Tripti Panigrahi, all zone health officers, NULM Mission Managers, Swachhta Didi regarding the review and preparations of the Swachhta Survey Campaign and gave necessary instructions.

Additional Commissioner Rajendra Prasad Gupta has directed the Mission Managers of NULM and all zone health officers to coordinate with the Municipal Corporation Health Department employees and Swachhta Didi to ensure that garbage and dirt should not be seen anywhere in the capital city municipal corporation area. For this, coordination has been done with the zone commissioners to monitor the cleanliness of 70 wards of all 10 zones and ensure discharge of work responsibilities. The Additional Commissioner has directed the Corporation Health Officer and NULM In-charge Officer to make the Swachh Survey successful and to get the best cleanliness ranking for Raipur city, to ensure that dirt and garbage are not seen anywhere including wards and zones, accountability of Swachhta Didis along with the employees of the Health Department should be fixed and continuous monitoring should be done.
The Additional Commissioner has asked the Swachhta Didis to go door-to-door and make citizens aware of cleanliness and encourage them to keep dry and wet garbage of homes and shops in separate dustbins and give it to the Corporation Safai Mitra daily. Along with this, citizens have been asked to be made aware of water-borne and mosquito-borne diseases by giving them information about their symptoms and diagnosis. Citizens have been asked to maintain cleanliness in homes, shops and nearby areas and to stay healthy during monsoon by consuming hot and easily digestible food items and in case of fever, go to the nearest government hospital, contact the government doctor and get treated for immediate health benefits by creating awareness among women in the localities and colonies.
