Raipur 23 March 2025: Electricity reached the remote village of Timnar in Bijapur district of Chhattisgarh for the first time after 77 years of independence under the Chief Minister Majra-Tola Vidyutkaran Yojana. This historic achievement is a symbol of breaking the darkness of Maoist terror and taking a step towards a new dawn of development, peace and tranquility. Now fear has been replaced by light and terror has been replaced by hope in Timnar. 100% electrification has been completed in 53 houses of the village, due to which there is an atmosphere of joy and happiness in the entire village. Fear and insecurity is going away with the light of development. The residents of Timnar, a dependent village of Gram Panchayat Bechapal of Bhairamgarh block, had not seen the light of electricity for generations. Now, when the government and administration have started providing the benefits of public welfare schemes by reaching out to these remote areas, the dream of connecting the villagers to the mainstream of society is coming true. In the words of the villagers – “Now I am not afraid, the light of happiness has spread!” Village residents Mashram, Pandru Kunjam, Mangali and Pramila Veko said that electricity has reached the village for the first time, now we are not afraid of the darkness of night. We have also got freedom from the fear of wild animals, snakes and scorpions. Children’s education has become easier, and now we are also joining the race of development.
Villagers say that now not only the atmosphere of terror and fear is ending, but the quality of life is also improving. Chief Minister’s commitment – “The rays of development will reach every village” Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai’s government is committed to connecting every village of the state with electrification and to flow the stream of development in Naxal-affected areas. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that where there was the shadow of Naxal terror till yesterday, today the rays of development are spreading there. This change is the real victory. Electrification in Timnar is a sign of the beginning of a new era of good governance and development in the remote areas of Bastar. Now this area is moving towards prosperity and light, free from the fear of Maoism. Expansion of basic facilities in villages Along with electrification in Timnar, basic facilities like roads, health and education are also being expanded. Timnar is no longer just a village, but has become a living example of the change in Bastar. Where there was once darkness and terror, now there is the light of electricity, smiles of children and the pace of development. This change is not just the success of a scheme, but is the result of the commitment of the state government, the activism of the administration and the faith of the people. This journey of change through good governance in Timnar shows that when the intentions are strong and the policy is people-centric, no inaccessibility can become an obstacle in the path of development.
