Innovative initiative of Municipal Corporation Culture Tourism Department
On 25 January morning, students of Purani Basti Saraswati School and students of NIT will go on heritage walk from Lily Chowk to Turi Hatri along with Municipal Commissioner, students will become aware of the ancient heritage of the city
Raipur – As per the orders of Raipur District Collector and Municipal Corporation Administrator Dr. Gaurav Kumar Singh and as per the instructions of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra, under the guidance of Municipal Corporation Deputy Commissioner Culture Department Dr. Anjali Sharma, Municipal Corporation Culture and Tourism Department took an innovative initiative and organized an interesting painting competition on the heritage of Raipur among the school girls of class 9th to 12th at Saraswati Kanya Shala Purani Basti. In this, the school girls participated in the painting competition with enthusiasm and displayed beautiful paintings and gave a positive message to the people about the heritage of Raipur. The girl students drew beautiful pictures on the drawing sheet about the heritage of Chhattisgarh state including the huge statue of Swami Vivekananda, Budhatalaab, Swami Vivekananda Sarovar, city clock, Guru Ghasidas Time Square, ancient Dudhdhari Math, Diwali festival. During this the school’s Principal Mrs. Seema Verma, teachers, Mrs. Shweta Shinde from the Corporation’s Culture Department along with the girl students of the school were present.
Municipal Corporation Culture and Tourism Department Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anjali Sharma has informed that on Saturday, January 25, 2025, the students of Old Basti Saraswati Kanya Shala and the students of NIT Raipur, along with the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Raipur and Managing Director of Raipur Smart City Limited, Mr. Abinash Mishra, will go on a heritage walk from Lily Chowk Old Basti to Turi Hatri in the capital city of Raipur. During this, the students of Saraswati Kanya Shala and the students of NIT Raipur will get acquainted with the ancient heritage of the capital city of Raipur. This event has been organized on the initiative of the Municipal Corporation Culture and Tourism Department.
