Chief Minister releases Officers Wives Association’s coffee table book Soul of the Soil

The coffee table book “Soul of the Soil Life’s Rhythms in Chhattisgarh” is based on the memories of Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage

Raipur 08 March 2025: By preserving our cultural heritage, not only the present generation will become knowledgeable but the future generation will also be proud. Soul of the Soil is a beautiful effort to preserve the rhythm of life in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai said these things today on the occasion of International Women’s Day while releasing the coffee table book “Soul of the Soil Life’s Rhythms in Chhattisgarh” based on the memories of Chhattisgarh’s cultural heritage at the Chhattisgarh Club in the capital Raipur. It is noteworthy that this coffee table book is a joint vision of IAS, IPS and IFS Officers Wives Association.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai wished International Women’s Day to all the women present on the occasion of the release. He said that it is necessary to preserve the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh such as primitive culture, art, literature, folk music, folk dance. Such publications are definitely very useful and make us all proud. The effort to preserve the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh in this coffee table book is very praiseworthy. The Chief Minister further said that the fertile soil of Chhattisgarh has not only made the farmers prosperous, but has also opened the way for prosperity for all sections. This land is the land of social consciousness, where great saints like Baba Guru Ghasidas ji and martyrs like Veer Narayan Singh were born. He said that this land is the maternal home of Mother Kaushalya and the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram. This is the karmabhoomi of Mother Shabari, which Lord Shri Ram himself blessed by offering the leftover berries from the hands of the mother.

During his exile, Lord Ram’s lotus feet fell here. Poets and writers never tire of describing the glory of this land and the cultural heritage of Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that this book will be successful in its objectives as a beautiful opportunity to know and understand the culture of Chhattisgarh. During this, the Chief Minister also listened to some poems compiled in the coffee table book.

Retired Indian Administrative Service officer Dr. Indira Mishra said on this occasion that the women of all three associations have made this beautiful effort together. Today, on the special occasion of Women’s Day, this 200-page book has created fond memories. Dr. Mishra also shared her administrative experience and her experiences as the President of the IAS Officers’ Wives Association. President of the IAS Officers’ Wives Association, Mrs. Ritu Amitabh Jain, delivered the welcome address at the event. Mrs. Jahnavi Pandey recited a Chhattisgarhi poem at the release event. On this occasion, President of IPS Officers Wives Association, Mrs. Jyoti Gautam, President of IFS Officers Wives Association, Mrs. Jyoti Sahu, Dr. Vandana Agarwal and members of all three associations were present.
