Korba. Police has raided an illegally operating hookah bar in the city. On the information of informer, the police team arrested 7 boys for smoking hookah. When interrogated, they revealed their names as Hameed Memon, Vikas Thakur, Ayush Singh, Rishabh Aggarwal, Pritam Sahu, Oesh Memon and Sameer Singh, who were accused of consuming/getting people to consume such huge quantities of cigarettes and other tobacco products on the spot. Section 91 CrPC By giving notice, demand for valid documents/license was made.
According to the seizure sheet from the possession of the accused after submitting the written reply by the witnesses stating that they did not have any license, (01) Hookah smoking glass total 08 sets and 11 pieces hookah pipe worth around Rs 24000 (02) Hookah tobacco flavor of Aladdin Company total 11 packets worth around Rs 1650/-, (03) Afzal Company’s Hookah Tobacco Flavor, Total 11 packets worth around Rs 1100/- (04) Alfakher Company’s Hookah Tobacco Flavor 01 kg. 01 box worth around 2449/- (05) Al Aayan Company’s Hookah Tobacco Flavor 01 kg. 02 boxes worth around Rs 4000/- (06) Charcoal of Al Akbar Company used in hookah was seized.
