‘One lamp in the name of Lord Shri Ram’: Dalpat Sagar illuminated with 3 lakh lamps

Raipur. A day before the welcome of Shri Ramlala, amazing enthusiasm was seen in all sections of Jagdalpur city in the program of ‘Ek Diya Prabhu Shri Ram Ke Naam’ Deepotsav. Dalpat Sagar of Jagdalpur was illuminated with the light of about three lakh lamps on Sunday evening. After the puja at Rani Ghat, the beauty of Dalpat Sagar increased manifold with the lighting of three lakh lamps simultaneously. During this period, the Rangoli made by the artists in the island was the center of special attraction.

During the programme, the land and sky were illuminated with burning lamps and twinkling lights on the banks of Dalpat Sagar. A lot of fireworks were also done during the Deep Utsav around Dalpat Sagar, due to which the whole atmosphere became festive. Everyone lit the lamps with grand fireworks at seven o’clock. In the programme, Ramcharit Manas was sung by the Ramayana troupe on the floating stage.

The program was organized on the initiative of the Municipal Corporation Administration and District Administration with the cooperation of city residents, public representatives and various social organizations.
