Raipur 28 November: Under the Krishak Samagra Vikas Yojana, the Finance Department has approved the proposal to increase the subsidy on seed production and distribution of oilseed crops under the Akti Seed Promotion Scheme.
On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, approval has been given to increase the seed production and distribution subsidy for oilseed crops from Rs 1000 per quintal to Rs 1500. The approval of this proposal will especially benefit the oilseed producing farmers. It is worth mentioning that since the beginning of the Akti Seed Promotion Scheme, no increase had been made in the seed production and distribution subsidy. Now an additional subsidy of Rs 500 per quintal will be available on the seed production and distribution of oilseed crops, which will help the farmers to improve the quality of seeds and increase production.
The objective of this initiative of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is to provide financial assistance to farmers as well as promote the cultivation of oilseed crops. This increase will encourage farmers to cultivate oilseed crops and will also use better seeds to ensure higher yield of oilseeds. This initiative will increase the productivity of oilseed crops as well as increase the income of farmers.
