On 26 January Republic Day, The Tricolor Was Hoisted For The First Time In 26 Villages

In the coming times, we will celebrate Republic Day by hoisting the tricolor in every corner of Bastar – Deputy Chief Minister Sharma

Raipur, 26 January 2025: As a result of the efforts of the government led by Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai in Chhattisgarh, for the first time on the occasion of Republic Day, the tricolor was hoisted with pride in 26 sensitive Naxal-affected villages of Bastar division. For the first time after independence, the national festival was celebrated in these villages, which is the result of the strong will of the state government and the continuous efforts of Deputy Chief Minister Shri Vijay Sharma. In the last one year, 26 new security camps were set up in the interior and remote areas of Bastar division. These camps are not only strengthening the security system, but are also acting as centers of development. In these villages, local villagers along with the police and security forces hoisted the tricolor and celebrated Republic Day. Gundam, Phutkel, Chutwahi, Kondapalli, Zidpalli, Watevagu, Karregatta, Pidia of district Bijapur; Security camps were set up in Kasturmeta, Maspur, Irkbhatti, Mohndi, Horadi, Garpa, Kachchapal, Kodliyar in district Narayanpur; Tekalgudem, Puvarti, Lakhapal, Pulanpad, Tumalpad, Raigudem, Golakunda, Gomguda, Mentaguda in district Kanker; and Panidobir villages in district Kanker. Security forces not only hoisted the tricolour in these areas but also explained the importance of Republic Day to the villagers and distributed sweets and chocolates to children. DRG, Bastar Fighters, STF, CAF, CRPF, Cobra, SSB, ITBP, BSF and local police ensured the necessary security arrangements to make the entire event peaceful.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that after the formation of the government of Chief Minister  Vishnudev Sai in Chhattisgarh, the tricolor has been hoisted for the first time at many such places. This is not only a proud moment for the state, but also a proof of the success of our efforts. I believe that in the coming times, we will celebrate Republic Day by hoisting the tricolor in every corner of Bastar. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma hoisted the flag at the historic Lalbagh Parade Ground in Jagdalpur, the headquarters of Bastar Division, and greeted the people of the state. This achievement is not only the result of the policies of the government, but is a symbol of the faith of the people of Bastar and the courageous efforts of the security forces. Vijay Sharma congratulated everyone for this unprecedented success and expressed his resolve for peace, development and prosperity in the state.
