Chief Minister Sai blessed Mahesh-Hemla and Madkam-Ravva who got married
Raipur 13 January 2025: In the dense forests of Bastar region of Chhattisgarh, a new chapter of love and trust is now being written in place of Maoist violence. Mahesh-Hemla and Madkam-Ravva, who left the path of Maoist violence and joined the mainstream of development, have started a new married life by tying the knot in front of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The Chief Minister congratulated and wished both the newlyweds tied in the knot and wished them a happy life. This story is the changing picture of Sukma district, where guns used to resound, now the sound of Shehnai is resounding there.
It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai had reached the mini stadium of Sukma today on 13 January to give the gift of development works worth more than 206 crore rupees. Mausam Mahesh and Hemla, Madkam Pandu and Ravva Bhime, who gave up the path of Naxal violence and surrendered about seven months ago, had requested the district administration of Sukma that they want to start a new life by tying the knot of marriage in the presence of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The district administration had assured all four of them that whenever Chief Minister Sai arrives in Sukma, their marriage will be solemnized with due rituals under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana on that day. Today, on 13 January, during the Chief Minister’s visit to Sukma, the marriage of these four surrendered people was solemnized with due rituals in the mini stadium there in the presence of Chief Minister Sai, which was witnessed by thousands of people present there. Everyone blessed the newlyweds and wished them a happy married life.
It is known that Mausam Mahesh, a resident of Gaganpalli village, Hemla Munni of Dubbamarka, Madkam Pandu of Kanhaipad and Ravva Bhima of Sallatong, all four were earlier associated with the Naxalite organization. Influenced by the policies of the Chhattisgarh government, these four gave up the path of Naxal violence and surrendered in June 2024. Mausam Mahesh was associated with the Naxal organization for about twelve years. Madkam Pandu and Hemla Munni were associated with the Naxal organization and its activities for 9 years and Ravva Bhima for 6 years.
After getting married, Mahesh-Hemla and Madkam-Ravva, who received blessings from Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, said that they deeply regret going astray and being involved in violence. Influenced by the Naxal rehabilitation policy and Niyyad Nella Nar scheme of the Chhattisgarh government, all four decided to join the mainstream of development and peace. He said that influenced by the public welfare policies of the government, many young comrades associated with various Naxal organizations have surrendered and many comrades have decided to surrender.
He said that the Chhattisgarh government has given the Naxalites an opportunity to return to the mainstream and live a respectable life in the society. Surrendered Naxalites are getting financial assistance for employment, housing and rehabilitation. This story is not only about the victory of love, but is also a symbol of the success of the Naxal rehabilitation policy of the Chhattisgarh government. By tying the knot, these four young men and women have proved that hatred and violence can be defeated with love, trust and sympathy.
