Raipur – Today, under the aegis of the Culture Department of Municipal Corporation Raipur, with the cooperation of Municipal Corporation Zone 3, a flower offering program was organized in front of the statue of Veerangna Avanti Bai Lodhi located in the Raipur District Hospital Pandri Campus, on her Martyrdom Day. By reaching the event, the first citizen of the capital city Raipur, Mayor Mrs. Meenal Choubey, on behalf of all the residents of the capital, paid homage to Veerangna Avanti Bai Lodhi on her Martyrdom Day. Prominently present in the program were Khairagarh MLA Mrs. Yashoda Verma, Corporation Chairman Suryakant Rathore, Municipal Corporation Culture Department Chairman Amar Gidwani, Councilor Mrs. Sadhana Pramod Dubey, former Councilor Mohan Uparkar, Zone 3 Zone Commissioner Vivekanand Dubey, Culture Department Incharge Officer Executive Engineer D.K. Paikra, Zone 3 Executive Engineer Sushil Modestus along with local Lodhi community officials, dignitaries, social workers, young men, women and common people reached in large numbers to pay homage to warrior woman Avanti Bai Lodhi on her martyrdom day and paid homage to her at the statue site.
