Raigarh district is leading in giving maximum domestic tap connections
Raipur, 01 January 2025: The work of providing free domestic tap connections is being done rapidly in the rural areas of the state. Under the campaign being run for the supply of pure drinking water to the houses under the Jal Jeevan Mission in the state, domestic tap connections are to be given to 50 lakh 04 thousand 536 families. Under which currently 40 lakh 10 thousand 986 domestic tap connections have been given. Along with this, arrangements have been made for the supply of pure drinking water through tap taps in 43 thousand 926 schools, 41 thousand 665 Anganwadi centers and 17 thousand 319 Gram Panchayat buildings and community sub-health centers of the state. In which Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh is leading in giving domestic tap connections to the maximum 2 lakh 303 rural families. Similarly, Mahasamund district is at second and third place respectively in providing domestic tap connections to 1 lakh 97 thousand 864 families and Janjgir-Champa district is at third place in providing domestic tap connections to 1 lakh 85 thousand 214 families.
Under the Jal Jeevan Mission being run under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and guidance of Public Health Engineering Minister Shri Arun Saw, pure drinking water is being provided in the state at the rate of 55 liters per person per day, for this, work plans are being prepared in all the districts and work is being done at a fast pace. Under this mission, in addition to domestic tap connections, running water is also being arranged in schools, sub-health centers and Anganwadi centers. Along with this, the implementation of the works of Jal Jeevan Mission including Single Village Scheme and Multi Village Scheme and other drinking water schemes in the state at the ground level is being continuously monitored by Secretary Public Health Engineering Mohammad Qaiser Abdulhaq and Jal Jeevan Mission Director Dr. Sarveshvar Bhure.
Under Jal Jeevan Mission, so far 1 lakh 81 thousand 272 tap connections have been given in Baloda Bazar-Bhatapara, 1 lakh 80 thousand 611 in Bilaspur district, 1 lakh 79 thousand 240 in Raipur district, 1 lakh 65 thousand 591 in Kawardha, 1 lakh 53 thousand 140 in Dhamtari district, 01 lakh 52 thousand 259 in Balod, 1 lakh 50 thousand 477 in Bemetara district, 1 lakh 48 thousand 560 in Mungeli, 1 lakh 44 thousand 153 in Jashpur, 1 lakh 43 thousand 680 in Korba, 1 lakh 43 thousand 492 in Bastar, 1 lakh 41 thousand 697 in Balrampur and 1 lakh 39 thousand 561 tap connections have been given in Rajnandgaon district. Similarly, 1 lakh 37 thousand 715 in Durg, 1 lakh 34 thousand 374 in Sakti, 1 lakh 33 thousand 908 in Gariaband, 1 lakh 29 thousand 615 in Surguja district, 1 lakh 23 thousand 242 in Sargarh-Bilaigarh, 1 lakh 14 thousand 972 in Surajpur, 1 lakh 11 thousand 988 in Kanker, 1 lakh 01 thousand 819 in Kondagaon, 68 thousand 078 in Gaurela-Pendra-Marwahi, 62 thousand 611 in Khairagarh-Chhuikhadan-Gandai, 60 thousand 370 in Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur, 46 thousand 999 in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki, 46 thousand 477 in Sukma, 39 thousand 494 in Dantewada, 37 thousand in Korea Domestic tap connections have been given to 767 rural families in Bijapur, 32 thousand 532 in Bijapur and 21 thousand 911 rural families in Narayanpur district.
