Dearness relief of 7th pay scale pensioners increased by 4% and that of 6th pay scale increased by 9%

Raipur. 17 January 2025: The state government has increased the dearness relief of pensioners and family pensioners of urban bodies. The Urban Administration and Development Department has increased the dearness relief of pensioners receiving pension as per the 7th pay scale by 4% and that of pensioners receiving pension as per the 6th pay scale by 9%. Pensioners and family pensioners of both pay scales will be given the benefit of this increase from 1 October 2024. After the approval of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration and Development Minister Arun Saw, today the department has issued orders in this regard from the Ministry. After the increase in dearness relief by the state government, the dearness relief of pensioners of 7th pay scale and 6th pay scale will be 50% and 239% respectively. At present, 46 per cent dearness relief is being given to the pensioners of 7th Pay Scale and 230 per cent dearness relief is being given to the pensioners of 6th Pay Scale.
