Raipur. There will be a half-day government holiday in Chhattisgarh on January 22, on the auspicious occasion of the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla in Ayodhya. In compliance with the announcement of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, an order to this effect has been issued by the General Administration Department of Chhattisgarh Government.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that Lord Shri Ram has a deep connection with Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh is his maternal home. Lord Shri Ram was born in Ayodhya, his mother Kaushalya was born in Chhattisgarh. In this way Lord Shri Ram is the nephew of Chhattisgarh. Out of 14 years of exile, he spent 10 years in the forests of Chhattisgarh. Mother Shabari had fed sweet berries to Lord Shri Ram after tasting them in Shivrinarayan. He is deeply rooted in the minds of the people of Chhattisgarh. Shri Sai said that the entire Chhattisgarh is happy with the consecration of Shri Ramlala’s life taking place in Ayodhya. On January 22, there will be a general holiday in all government offices and institutions of the state for half a day till 2.30 pm, so that the people of Chhattisgarh can also enjoy and celebrate the Pran Pratishtha Mahotsav of Ramlala. He said that the temples of the state have been well decorated and various types of religious programs are also going on.
