Green Fuel Will Be Made From Stubble, Green Energy Investment Will Increase In Chhattisgarh

Bengaluru, 26 March 2025 – The interest of the industry is increasing in Chhattisgarh regarding investment in the field of green fuel. In a meeting held in Bengaluru, Deepak Agarwal of GPRS Arya Pvt. Ltd. met Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and told that his company is working rapidly towards making Compressed Bio-Gas (CBG) from stubble in the state. He said that there is a plan to set up CBG plants in various districts of Chhattisgarh, which will give additional income to the farmers from crop residues and will also reduce pollution. The company has recently set up a CBG plant in collaboration with Indian Oil in Bemetara district, which is now fully functional. Deepak Agarwal told the Chief Minister that after the success of this project, they want to adopt this model in other districts of Chhattisgarh as well. This initiative will promote biofuel production and strengthen the state’s participation in the field of environmentally friendly energy. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai praised this initiative and said that the government is fully committed to promoting green energy. He informed that under the new industrial policy of Chhattisgarh, special incentives are being given for biofuel and environment friendly projects. In this meeting, other representatives of the industry also expressed interest in investing in Chhattisgarh.
