Raipur, 02 January 2025: Deputy Chief Minister of the state i Vijay Sharma today inaugurated the state’s first Road Safety Experience Room at the Transport Office, Kabirdham. This room has been set up in Kabirdham district under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, which has become the first district in the state where such an experience room has been set up. In this inauguration ceremony, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma observed all aspects of the room and took detailed information on its functioning. The objective of the Road Safety Experience Room is to increase awareness about road safety among the citizens. Various types of road safety related information and material have been presented in this room, in which drivers have been told about ways to avoid accidents, following traffic rules and safe driving. An attractive way to understand road safety has been adopted in the room through various virtual experiences, videos and models.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said in his address that since childhood we are taught the difference between right and wrong. The role of mothers is important in making children aware of the right and wrong actions of life. Similarly, this session will develop a positive thinking towards safety and rules in the society. While wishing for the successful implementation of the program, he said that this process should be continued so that every person can become aware of road safety. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma said at the launch of Road Safety Experience Room that now the persons coming to make driving license will have to go through a special audio, video session. This session has been started with the aim of making the applicants aware of traffic rules and road safety. Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sharma said that the purpose of this process is to ensure that every person understands the traffic rules, challan process and the importance of safe vehicle operation in depth. After completing the audio, video session, a certificate will be provided to the participants. This certificate will show that they have understood the rules of road safety. This session will inspire people to take the right decision on the road and give priority to safety measures. This will not only improve the compliance of traffic rules, but will also reduce the number of road accidents. The Deputy Chief Minister said that this step has been taken to increase transparency and awareness in departmental processes. This will ensure that every person who obtains a driving license drives responsibly on the road. He said that this process has been started from Kawardha in entire Chhattisgarh. It will be implemented in the entire state, so that more and more people get benefit.
In front of Deputy Chief Minister Sharma, the citizens who came to the office to get the license also visited the Road Safety Experience Room and took advantage of the information available there. He said that the establishment of this room will not only make the local citizens aware of road safety. With this inauguration, Kabirdham district has moved one step further, where along with awareness about road safety, safety measures are being given priority.
