Appointment of Returning and Assistant Returning Officer
Raipur 05 December 2024. Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Gaurav Singh today held a review meeting of the preparations for the Municipal Corporation and Three-Tier Panchayat General Elections 2024-25 in the Red Cross Hall located in the Collectorate premises. Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officer, Nodal and Assistant Nodal Officers have been appointed for election work. Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officer, Nodal and Assistant Nodal Officer for Urban Body attended the meeting. Collector Dr. Singh said during the review of local elections that it is very important to take precautions and be serious in the Urban Body and Three-Tier Panchayat General Elections. The collector said that the returning and assistant returning officers should discharge their responsibilities in a better manner. They should take election related training in a better manner. Collector Dr. Singh said that during election duty, every officer and employee should conduct the election with transparency and fairness. Collector Dr. Singh said that the officers engaged in election duty should inspect the booth. Electricity, water and basic facilities should be ensured at the polling station. Collector Dr. Singh said that every officer and employee should maintain simplicity and easy behavior during election work.
On this occasion, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mr. Abinash Mishra, District Panchayat CEO Mr. Vishwadeep, Additional Collector Mr. Kirtiman Singh Rathore, Deputy District Election Officer Mr. Umashankar Bande along with Returning Officer, Assistant Returning Officer, Nodal and Assistant Nodal Officer were present.
