Raipur 18 March 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today and discussed in detail about the development of the state. During this, he presented the outline of the master plan of Bastar development to the Prime Minister. In this meeting, Chief Minister Sai presented the master plan of Bastar development to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which included the outline of developing Naxal-affected areas as new centers of infrastructure, industries and tourism. The Prime Minister gave a positive response to this plan and assured all possible cooperation to the state government. Chief Minister Sai told the Prime Minister that Naxalism has reached its last stage in Chhattisgarh. Due to the organized strategy of the security forces and public participation, there is a rapid change in the Naxal-affected areas. He said that due to the joint efforts of police and central forces, the ray of development has reached many Naxal strongholds, which has further strengthened the public’s faith in the government’s schemes. The government’s full focus is now on developing Bastar as a new industrial and economic center, so that the youth can get employment and the tribal communities can get a better standard of living.
During the meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chief Minister Sai also discussed in detail the new industrial policy of the state and the increasing interest of investors. The Chief Minister said that to make investment easier, the government has implemented single window clearance, tax exemption and favorable policies, due to which big companies are being attracted to invest in Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister Sai, in this meeting, described women empowerment and rural development as the priority of the government and said that concrete efforts are being made to make rural women self-reliant through self-employment schemes. Under this, women self-help groups are being strengthened, so that they can become economically empowered.
In the meeting, the Chief Minister informed the Prime Minister about the efforts being made by the State Government towards making the rural women of Bastar self-reliant. He informed that through the women self-help groups of Bastar, thousands of women are being provided economic independence and self-employment opportunities. By encouraging minor forest produce, organic farming, handloom, bamboo industry and handicrafts, women are not only getting means of livelihood, but they are also empowering the local economy. Apart from this, initiatives are being taken to connect the women of Bastar with production and marketing through startups and small industries, so that they can become self-reliant and contribute to the economic progress of the state.
