Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today paid tribute to the country’s first Deputy Prime Minister and Home Minister, late Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, on the occasion of his birth anniversary at the Bagia CM office in Jashpur district. Recalling the contribution of Iron Man Sardar Patel to the country, the Chief Minister said that Sardar Patel was known for his patriotism, strong will and courage. He had a leading role in the country’s freedom struggle. MLA Mrs. Gomti Sai was also present on this occasion.
Chief Minister Shri Sai said that in view of Sardar Patel’s unforgettable role in the freedom struggle and the reconstruction of independent India, his birth anniversary is celebrated every year as National Unity Day in his memory and honor. National unity is the basic pillar of the strength and development of any country. India is a country of diversity, where every region has its own language, culture and tradition. He said that it is the duty of all of us to unite and contribute to the progress of our state and country.
