CG Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has shared some news from Jashpurnagar district in Chhattisgarh. Right now, there’s a western disturbance located at 72 degrees east and 19 degrees north, sitting between 3.1 km and 7.6 km in the sky. Because of this, the wind direction in the state has shifted, bringing in a lot of moisture from the Bay of Bengal.
Severe Cold Alert: As the impact of this western disturbance lessens, we might see a change in wind direction again, which could lead to a decrease in moisture levels. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather is expected to be mostly dry in the state on Sunday, December 29. Additionally, we should prepare for a drop in the minimum temperature. By January 2, temperatures could fall by 6 to 8 degrees in many areas. A cold wave is also expected to hit some parts of North Chhattisgarh starting January 1.
