Central And State Government Committed For All-round Development Of Tribal Society: Chief Minister Sai

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the Government of India and the Government of Chhattisgarh are committed for the all-round development of the tribal society. He said that many public welfare schemes are being run by the central and state government for the overall development of the tribal society. Mr. Sai was addressing the Janjati Gaurav Diwas and the conference of Kanwar Samaj organized in village Bhatgaon (B) of Gunderdehi development block of Balod district today.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister mentioned the valor and valor of Dharti Aba Bhagwan Birsa Munda and said that he fought against the British rule to protect his identity, culture and motherland and was martyred at the young age of 25 years. Chief Minister Shri Sai announced to provide Rs. 25 lakh for governmentization of Higher Secondary School run by Kanwar Samaj in village Bhatgaon B and renovation of school building, Rs. 50 lakh for construction of social building of Adivasi Pankra Kanwar Samaj in village Rengakathera of Gunderdehi development block and Rs. 10 lakh for construction of Ram Satta Sthal of Ram Mandir in ward number 10 of Gunderdehi. The program was presided over by State President of Kanwar Samaj Shri Harbansh Miri.

Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai, while paying obeisance to Lord Birsa Munda and Saint Gahira Guru, said that along with the freedom struggle, the great personalities of the tribal society have made an important contribution in the reconstruction of the nation and society. Chief Minister Shri Sai said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has announced to celebrate Lord Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary on 15 November as Tribal Pride Day to make the entire country and the world as well as the future generations aware of the glory of the tribal society and tribal heroes. This has increased the pride of the tribal society.

Chief Minister Shri Sai praised martyr Thaman Singh Thakur of village Bhatgaon (B) and late landlord Dau Girdhari Singh for their contribution in spreading education in the village and before reaching the program, he went to their samadhi and paid homage to them by offering flowers. On this occasion, Shri Sai visited the stalls set up by various departments at the venue and praised them.
