Raipur – As per the orders of Mayor of Municipal Corporation Raipur, Smt. Meenal Choubey and as per the instructions of Commissioner Vishwadeep, under the guidance of Zone 6 Zone Commissioner Ramesh Jaiswal and in presence of Zone Health Officer Sanjeev Sharma, the Health Department of Municipal Corporation Zone No. 6, with the help of a special team of 10 boatmen, launched a campaign to free the Maharajbandh pond under the Zone 6 area from water hyacinth. In the last 3 days, under the campaign, about 15 dumpers of water hyacinth were taken out from the Maharajbandh pond and it was immediately lifted with the help of dumpers and 3D machine. The campaign to take out water hyacinth from the pond with the help of bamboo is ongoing. Instructions have been given to free the Maharajbandh pond from water hyacinth soon.
