Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has told the mayors and councillors of all urban bodies of the state that overall development of the wards should be their priority. Every possible effort should be made to improve public facilities, so that every citizen can get basic facilities easily. All councillors should maintain constant contact with the people of their wards and ensure quick solution to their problems. Chief Minister Sai said that BJP has got a historic victory in the urban body elections, which reflects the public’s trust in our government. This victory is the result of hard work from the leaders of the organization to the ground workers. Now we have to live up to the expectations of the public and fulfill the promises made in the Atal Vishwas Patra. In this, the role of the mayor and councillors will be the most important, because they are directly connected to the public. Chief Minister Sai also said that all the mayors and councillors of urban bodies should ensure cleanliness, electricity, water and availability of other basic amenities in their areas. Maintain constant contact with the public and resolve their problems quickly. Know the problems by touring your area. This will tighten the administration and speed up development.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai met the newly elected mayors and councillors of Durg and Dhamtari Municipal Corporations at his residence and congratulated them on their victory and wished them a successful tenure. He said that now the big responsibility of the development of the state is on the shoulders of all the elected public representatives and they will have to discharge their responsibilities with full devotion. The Chief Minister also emphasized that the massive victory in the urban body elections has created a coincidence of a triple engine government in the state, which will give more impetus to the development works. It is worth mentioning that in these elections, the BJP performed historically, winning 10 out of 10 municipal corporations, 35 out of 49 municipalities and 81 out of 114 Nagar Panchayats. On this occasion, MLA Gajendra Yadav, newly elected Mayor of Dhamtari Jagdish Ramu Rohra, Mayor of Durg Mrs. Alka Baghmar and councillors of other bodies were present. It is worth noting that after the massive victory of the Bharatiya Janata Party in the urban bodies, the process of meeting the elected mayors and councillors in groups from across the state is continuing. More than a hundred councillors have met the Chief Minister in the last three days.

He said that the people of both the municipal corporations, having unwavering faith in the work of the BJP government, have expressed their complete faith in the BJP and a triple engine government has been formed in both the cities.
