Today, as per the orders of Raipur Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra, Additional Commissioner US Agrawal held a review meeting of the Water Department in the Corporation Headquarters building in the presence of Water Department In-charge Officer Badri Chandrakar, Superintendent Engineer Sanjay Bagde, Executive Engineer Narsingh Farendra, Executive Engineer Amrit Mission Anshul Sharma, Water Engineers of zones and gave necessary instructions regarding drinking water management.
During the review, Additional Commissioner US Agrawal directed the officers to lay the pipeline as per practical requirement in view of the drinking water crisis in Brahmanpara area. Instructions were given to do continuous monitoring for adequate filling of water in the water reservoirs of various areas. In the public interest, continuous monitoring of water tanks of various areas including Shankar Nagar Water Reservoir area was done and good drinking water supply system was asked to be made available to the citizens soon. Instructions were given to ensure that the work of laying pipelines as per the requirement and solving the water problem in water-scarce areas is done on priority basis at the identified places within the next week. Necessary action to solve the water crisis in Kachana was monitored and ensured within the next 3 days. The Additional Commissioner has instructed the officers to ensure that the testing of the works going on under the Amrit Mission scheme is completed on priority basis without any delay.
