Prime Minister Modi’s visit changed the direction of his life
Raipur 4 January 2025: A decade ago, during his visit to Dantewada, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was fascinated by the talent of a small visually impaired child from ‘Saksham’, an institute for differently abled children. The name of that child was Anjan. When Anjan sang his song, the Prime Minister was so happy that he encouraged him by patting his head with great affection.
Anjan is an example of how big a change the encouragement of the Prime Minister of the country can bring in the life of a child. Earlier Anjan used to sing songs written by others, today Anjan writes songs himself, composes and sings them too. Recently, Anjan has written and composed a song on the occasion of the Pran Pratishtha of Ramlala in Ayodhya Dham.
Seeing Anjan’s interest in music, he was given training in organ, congo and dholak in the institute.
Barsur festival is organized every year in Dantewada. In this year’s event, Anjan will present a song written by him on Ramlala. Anjan is currently studying in 11th class, now studies up to 10th class are done within the institute itself. On the initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, all the basic facilities have been provided in the institute. It is worth mentioning that the educational system in Saksham Sanstha is done through DMF. He believed that funds should be established through DMF for development work in mining affected areas. Today the dreams of children like Anjan are being fulfilled through DMF.
When he was born, grandfather said, what will he do, leave him somewhere
Anjan is a resident of the inner Naxal affected area of Bijapur. Due to the Naxal problem, his parents had to leave the village. Anjan is visually impaired since childhood. When he was born, his grandfather was very disappointed and he said what will happen to him, what will he do, leave him. His mother loved him a lot. His mother said no, we will raise him. Later, they came to know about Saksham Sansthan and got him admitted there. Saksham teachers came to know about his singing talent and interest in music and now Anjan’s world has changed. Along with Prime Minister Modi, former President Ramnath Kovind has also been impressed by Anjan’s talent.
Deep talent and immense enthusiasm inspire everyone
Today, Anjan along with all the children paid floral tribute to Louis Braille. Louis Braille is such a person because of whom even visually impaired children can read fluently. There is also a picture of Helen Keller in Saksham campus, which tells that the best things of the world can neither be seen nor touched, they can only be felt.
